This semester I had photography, and it was fun. I always thought photography was a novelty, but now I see that it is an artform and a career. After this picture I will never take a selfie one handed and now whenever I take a picture I think of the rule of thirds. My favorite project was the light graffiti because in that project my group made it look like I did a kamehameha which is something I’ve always wanted to do.  Although I’ve had a great time in photography, I don’t want to be a photographer, although I will try to continue learning about it in High School.

This Project is about what makes a bad picture and what makes a good picture. So we took pictures of a bunch of different things and we took a bad picture and a good picture of those things. I dont think that a bad picture is completly bad cause you can always change it and make it better.

The whole semester was definitely a time killer it’s like we just came back to school yesterday and our “HQ” was in the TV studio room, and not the computer lab. This class was definitely one I looked toward to, because it’s an easy going class. My thoughts before photography was it was boring it’s not really special. Like an old lady sport. Now,  I see why photographers chose their careers.  It’s fun, and you can create art out of photos. When I took photos I just took it to take it if that makes sense. I didn’t really understand why photographers grouped people and moved them. I understood it made it look better, but I just didn’t see the point. It doesn’t take much effort to make it look better using techniques like the rule of thirds. My favorite project was the light graffiti. Everyone else probably favored it too, because of the outcome of the photos and how special it looks. Photography doesn’t interest me in a career because it’s more a skill to me. If there’s a class in high school for photography I might debate taking it depending what other classes they offer.

Even though this photo isn’t the best appealingly it was the behind the scenes the makes it my favorite.

This  picture represents Nigerian woman relay team coming third in the  Olympians  it was a big achievement for the woman’s team to come in the top 3 as one country and not individually and for them to be representatives of there country.

This project is about taking what we have learned and comparing it to our skills before the class. For example, the pros would be very artsy and creative with the new skills we have developed and the joes being the not so good pictures. Before I started this class, I wasn’t very good at taking photos but know I have improved majorly. This project wasn’t very hard because I used skills like rule of thirds to create good pictures. The whole semester was overall really fun. I learned new and amazing things that will come to good use. My thought haven’tr changed because I always thought photography would be fun and a good skill to learn. I have changed the way I take photos because the new skills are way more effective and they make the photos have a different perspective. My favorite project was this last one because I got to see how I have improved. Photography is something I would do for fun because I have other interests but photography is definitely something I would do as a hobby.  The photo below is a my favorite photo and the photos in my link are the good and bad photos side by side.

Smile

The project  is called smile because we had to ask people to smile and not for 2 picture.  After taking the picture you have to look at the picture to see the difference between both pictures .

Pro’s vs Joe’s

As this is the last post of the class i will give a little review of the class and my post. It has been my favorite class of the semester as we get to really be artistic. My thoughts have definitely changed about photography as I now know it is harder. When I take photo’s now I always use Rule of Thirds so that it is a good photo. My favorite project was the Rule of Thirds as we had so much creativity. I don’t know if photography interest’s me in a career but I defiantly want to learn more.
This is my favorite photo of the class:

This project shows how my photo’s change and here is the Pro’s vs Joe’s

Final Post

This semester was fun. I learned a lot of things in this class and in this final project, I was able to display off of my skills. You will also notice in every single one of my projects Parmach makes an appearance as my typical model. This project was nice, easy, and simple. This class was pretty stress free, but boy am I glad it’s done. I was able to find all of my pictures easily. I’m glad I was able to improve my photography skills that I will most likely use subconsciously in the future.
