7 Days

This project requires us to take 7 photos of 7 days of what we are thankful for. The hard part was figuring out what I was thankful for and the easy part was finding the right photos to take. I am first, thankful for friends who help me through everything no matter what. My friends come first and I tell them anything that annoys me, makes me sad, or happy. They’ve been with me all my life and I am thankful for them. I’m also thankful for my parents who’s actually been there for my whole life, supporting me, helping me, and providing shelter, food, and other needs for me. I’m thankful for my siblings, my two sisters who have helped me with numerous things such as homework, sports, and relating with me about our parents. Although they’re in college, they still visit and makes me happy to see them home. I’m thankful for soccer to exist in the world since soccer is my favorite sport and it’s the sport to keep me healthy by constantly running everyday and trying new tricks. I’m thankful for coffee which keeps me going and awake when I really need it. Coffee also tastes amazing and I just love the taste of it. I’m thankful for food which helps me literally survive. I’ve never been more satisfied in my life when I’m eating food since it helps me not starve. I’m thankful for music even though I really can’t sing, there’s so many types and genres of music I can relate to and helps me cope with feelings or stress. Music hypes me up and gets me in a good mood.

Catch The Motion

For this project I had to take pictures of someone in action. I had to redo my pictures several times because the pictures looked bad. I toke some pictures with bursts on my phone to make it easier.  I recommend taking a burst if you want to get good action pictures because its easier to select a few good ones than keep taking the picture over and over again until you get a good one. I would photograph soccer if I could because it would look good to get a picture of someone kicking/shooting a ball. Click here for the rest of my pics.

Action

This had to be one of the hardest assignments my teacher gave our class. Our next assignments were to take 8 to 10 action photos. I set my ISO to auto and my shutter speed was 320. It took me like 20 tries just to make it focused and applying the rule of thirds was a big challenge. Some tips I would give a person to take good action photos is to be patient. It doesn’t always work right away. I would want to photograph football because there is a lot of action in the game. Click here for more photos!

Catch the action

Catching someone or something performing an action is harder than it may seem. The images blur, and sometimes by the time you take the photo the action is over! Our objective was to capture 8 photos of actions. I used my iPhone, however I had my “HDR” setting off, or else the picture would move. Getting a good angle for taking action photos is a good thing to remember, also taking multiple photos is a good tip. Afterwards you can look and see which photo you like best out of the many that were taken. I would like to photograph an action in the sport  Muay Thai. Maybe like a knock out or punch to the stomach. Anyways…. check out all my photos Here

7 Days

I am thankful for my mother because I know she always there to help and I love her a lot. I am thankful for my baby cousin because she can always bring  smile to my face with hers she is so adorable and cute. I am thankful for my other 2 favorite cousins they have such a playful personality. I am thankful for my older brother even tho he’s annoying most of the time but I always know why he’s there for me and to protect me. I am thankful for my little brother even tho he’s as annoying as my older brother I love him. I am thankful for my dog because he so cute and sometimes nice. I am thankful for one of my best friends kalynn i consider her as my sister and family she is the most funniest person i know and whenever i’m sad she can always make me laugh.

See my photos here.

Catching The Action

For this project, we had to take pictures of people/things that are moving. Since I don’t have a professional camera or even a regular nice one, I used my phone. If you use your phone, when taking a picture, right before the action happens, start to hold down the button that takes the photo. This makes it so that there is a burst of photos. After you have taken your burst, look at your picture, press select (it would be under the picture on your phone), and pick the picture you like the best. If I could take an action photo of a sport, I think I would take it of gymnastics or swimming. Here is a link to the rest of my action pictures.

7 Days

For day one, I took a photo of my earbuds. I took this picture not only to just show my earbuds but to also represent music. Music is a huge part of my life and affects me strongly. For example, music can automatically change my mood from really depressed, to feeling happy and confident. My music has helped me a lot throughout the “tough times” when going to people for help wasn’t enough, or when I felt alone or constantly stressed out.  Also, I listen to music a lot. When I’m on the bus when I’m reading, and during class (when I can), are just a few examples of when I listen to music. Furthermore, my friends give me weird looks when they can hear my music perfectly through my earbuds as I listen (my music is always turned up all the way). As you can see, music is a huge part and I don’t know what I would do without it.

For day two I took a picture of my cat. This represents all of my pets (1 cat and 2 dogs). I am truly thankful for my pets. My cat, Nitro has been with me since we were both 1 year old. Nitro is the best can ever and I love how relaxed and chill he is. Second, my 3-year-old dog, Norman. Norman knows when you are sad and/or need some cuddles. Although he lays down in the middle of my bed right before I go to sleep, I love how loving and smart he is. Then there is Chewey… We just got her about a month ago, and she is the cutest little thing, but definitely not the brightest. Chewy is so cute and makes you laugh.  Long story short, my pets are always there for me.

For day three I took a close up picture of my Christmas tree. I took a picture of my tree because I’m thankful for Christmas. Christmas is a holiday that helps bring my family together (not that they don’t already love each other). Christmas is also the holiday that I get to go on a plane and see my family. Overall I believe that Christmas is a great holiday and I love all of the hot cocoa, warm fires, cheesy Hallmark movies, and warm blankets.

For day four I took a picture of a pencil and paper. This represents my love for writing. Writing is so fun whether it’s a short story or an essay. Many people might not like writing because they find it difficult, but writing is an easy way to express my feelings. I also love writing because it takes up my time, so if I have nothing to do and I want to waste time, I’ll write.

For day 5 I took a picture of my swim pool. I just started swimming last summer but I believe I’ve gotten good really quickly. During practice, I swim with the people that have been swimming since they were little. Now during practice, I usually feel like I’m going to die, but I love it anyway. I used to be super unhealthy before I started swimming, but now I’m really healthy and proud of myself. Also, swimming (easy-ish) helps take away any stress that I have at the moment. I know many many people are faster and better than me at swimming, but I’m grateful that I finally found a sport that I love, and makes me happy.

For day six I took a picture of my friends. My friends are always there for me and I don’t know what I would do without them. If I have a problem and I don’t feel like telling my parents, who do I tell? My friends. I have amazing friends that would do anything to keep me happy, and I would do the same for them. My friends are there for me, so I am there for them. We love each other like family and again, I don’t know what I would do without them.

For day seven I took a picture of my family. There is so much to say about my family, I don’t even know where to start. My family is amazing, and I’m super lucky to have a great family. My parents love me so much and I’m so grateful for that. My sister, although she annoys me to death (9 years old), is funny and caring. I also love how my grandparents spoil me and my sister all the time. Overall my family is amazing.

Action

In this project, we had to take photos of objects or people in action. For example, somebody jumping or and object falling. For most of my photos, I used the burst feature on my iPhone to help me get the picture fast enough. Some tips I would advise for others doing this project would be to make sure to get a good angle so the action looks more cool in the picture than real life. If I could record an action shot of a sport it would be tennis or anything where the person hits the ball because it’s interesting to see the ball fly while the persons hand is still out and hitting the ball. You can find the rest of my photos here.

Action

For this project, we had to capture a moment of action in a photo, but there wasn’t supposed to be any blur. To take a picture of someone in action or doing something I used “burst” (Which is holding down the white button in the middle of the screen).  Also Taking pictures at a closer angle looked better than father because there could be more blur if you took a picture from a far. I tried not to use boring angles such as just straight forward angles I tried getting angles that were different from others. Also going outside and taking pictures worked very well for me because natural sunlight or light looks way better than if you were taking pictures outside. If you were going to do this assignment you should definitely use burst mode on your iphone or if your using a camera set your shutter speed so it could take pictures faster. I would like to photograph football because you could catch crazy tackles people toppling over each other I would get great photographs each time. You can find the rest of my photos Here.

7 Days

This flower represents life. I am thankful for my life and who is in it, such as my family who love and support me.
I am Thankful for the clean water. Water helps keeps me hydrated and active. Water is a necessary need for an everyday life. Not only is water beneficial for your health but you can use it for cleaning.
I am thankful for the food we eat for the nourishment for our bodies. I appreciate the choices of food I’m able to get.
This Book represents Education. I am thankful for all teachers who put their time and effort into teaching their students. I am thankful for knowing how to read a good book in order to better my vocabulary.
I am Thankful for a teacher like Mr.Fitz who teaches us cool ways to capture moments on camera. Cameras film and take pictures for us to look back upon the moments in our life. without photography there would be no Rule of Thirds, no compositions, Adobe fireworks, Photoshop, and no more downloads to JPEG.
This is Jisella, a staff at GYC. I am thanful for jisella because she is fun to do activities with, such as playing UNO, or Headbands after school. Not only do we do activities together but she also helps me and others with homework.
Lastly I am Thankful for my little brother Tre. Tre is a bundle of joy, he can make you laugh when he does the most random thing ever. I love to have Tre who will forever grow with me.
