Portraits

To take our portraits we had to change the settings on the camera. We also had to hold the lights in a good position so that the lighting looked good and stand in a position so there was no shadows. What worked was when we changed the settings and stood in a place so there was no shadows and the lighting was good. What didn’t work was when we had too much lighting and it made the background look too yellow and there was shadows. See the rest of my pictures here.

Portraits

We took photos against the white screen so that we could edit them to be black and white easily. We were easily able to take the pictures(once my group finally agreed to participate) because we didn’t see any need for the light, because the settings we used for the camera made it just bright enough, which made it easier to take a picture without someone obstructing the view, trying to hold up a light. There wasn’t much that didn’t work, other than some technical difficulties with my computer.

1 Object, 5 Shots

For the assignment 1 Object. 5 Shots we had to find 2 objects and 1 person to take pictures of. We had to take 5 shots of each object and person in different angles. It was challenging to get 5 different shots of one object. This project taught me how to get different angles of an object to make the picture look better. See the rest of my pictures here

Infinite Background

This project was the most creative project we have had so far because we had the most freedom of the pictures. In this project we had to stand in front of a white background with light shining on the background. When we were starting to take the picture we had to adjust the ISO to make the camera more sensitive to light. This allowed us get the infinite background. In this project many things worked to help us get the infinite background. When we took the picture we had to stand in front of the light so it would light up the background. This helped us a lot so there was no shadows and that the background was properly lit. Although, this project was fairly easy there was definitely some challenges. For example, just getting the ISO at the correct setting so enough light would get into the camera lens. Down below are all my pictures that I took of my group and pictures that me group took of me.

Portraits |Alexis Jacob| ~Pd1~

This was a tough project, the manual settings had made it hard to understand everything but our main goal was to take pictures and the background had to be completely white. The light being put behind us was the best way to do this, what didn’t work though was the yellow lights above us, I feel like it tinted it more making it harder to do the project. Portraits

To take these photos and make them good we had to change the shutter speed on the camera and change the ISO. In order to make the photos good with editing we had to crop out any brown or yellow photos and at the bottom we had to add our logo. The thing that worked in our project is that we didn’t have any yellow corners in our photo because the setting were good. The thing that didn’t work was that my group and I were very confused with the shutter speed and the ISO level.

Portraits

To take these pictures, we had to change the camera setting to manual and changed the ISO to make it more sensitive. Also, we had to change the shutter speed. When we took the pictures, we didn’t have any yellow edges so we didn’t have to edit anything out. There wasn’t anything that particularly didn’t work but there was some confusion with the ISO level.

5 shots 1 object

For this project I had to take 5 shots of one object. If you want to see the rest of pictures click here. The challenge was trying to make sure I have all the different angles for my picture. The hardest part was a person because they don’t do what you want them to. This project helped me take pictures in 5 different angles.

Portraits With an Infinite Background

In this project you had to make it look like there is no background by editing F-stop,IOS, and shutter speed. For this project to get a good picture you had to shine light behind the person so there wasn’t a shadow. We had to be careful because if we had too much or too little F-stop, shutter speed, and IOS there would either be too much light or too little. You can see some other photos here
