Portraits

In this project we had to take pictures of each other that had a black background with no shadows. We made the shutter speed slower in order to let more light in. The easy part was being creative when taking the pictures. The hard part was getting rid of all the shadows. You can see the rest of my photos Here.

Black background

For this project we did black background. To do that we had to stand in front of a black background then position the lights a certain way to prevent shadows. It was easy to found which potions made shadows, like doing peace signs. It was hard to find where the lights would shine.

Black Background

For this project, we took pictures on a black background of each other. It worked because we ended up getting a good lighting . The only problem was that we couldn’t get a camera until the last day, so we were kind of rushed.

Portraits with white background

For this project we had to us a white background and use lights. We used the shutter speed to absorb the lights in the room for an amount of time so that the picture had a clear and white background. It took us a lot of time to figure out what we should use. We also had to adjust the ISO to make the camera sensitive to the light. Something that worked was having lights on each side. That contributed to making the background completely white. Something that didn’t work was when the ISO was too high or too low then the background would be either brownish or way too white. The reason the background can’t be too white is because if the background is too white the light will also block the person’s face or the person might not even be able to be seen in the picture. Down below is a photo of me and a photo that I took. You could check out the rest here.

Portraits with an Infinite Background

We tried different angles of the lighting and different poses in the process of taking photos. In editing I tried different hue saturation and tried to pop colors out , drain colors, or tried black and white. What worked is different poses and changing the colors in editing. What didn’t work is the regular black and white so I had to turn it up.  If you want to see the rest of my photos, click here.

Portraits:White

In this project we had to take a picture of someone else. We also needed a photo of our self. We took the photos against different backgrounds with lighting. We also fiddled with the camera settings. We made the camera accept more light.    We also edited it in photo shop to make the lighting look better.  It was hard to make the lighting look good. The easy part was editing the photo’s. Portraits with a White Backgrounds

For this project, I made a group of three other people, and we took a camera to take shots. For those shots,  we had to change a couple of the camera settings. After we took the pictures, I had to put my logo on them. It worked because the light that we used was really good so we didn’t have to edit any yellow spots off of our pictures. At first we had a yellow light, so we had to switch it to get the good one.

Portraits

In this project we had to put our cameras on manual mode and use certain settings such as the ISO and F-stop to get more light in our pictures. For the editing of the pictures we just cropped some corners. The hard part about this project was getting the background to be light. The easy part was messing around with the settings. Portraits

In this project we had to take pictures of people with a white background. It should like it is a png. The picture shouldn’t have any dark edges. To make this happen we had to change the shutter speed and the iso settings. Overall, the pictures we took were good but there were some dark edges. To fix that, i just cropped the image. You can see the rest of my pictures here.

Infinite Background

This project was the most creative project we have had so far because we had the most freedom of the pictures. In this project we had to stand in front of a white background with light shining on the background. When we were starting to take the picture we had to adjust the ISO to make the camera more sensitive to light. This allowed us get the infinite background. In this project many things worked to help us get the infinite background. When we took the picture we had to stand in front of the light so it would light up the background. This helped us a lot so there was no shadows and that the background was properly lit. Although, this project was fairly easy there was definitely some challenges. For example, just getting the ISO at the correct setting so enough light would get into the camera lens. Down below are all my pictures that I took of my group and pictures that me group took of me.
