Catch the Action

The point of the project was to take pictures of someone in action.  For example, you had to catch someone running or jumping.  I didn’t really do much but I added a filter to make it darker or lighter.  I also took a lot of pictures while the action was in process.  So then I could go back and choose one that really got the action.  I also wanted the background without people.  Let me give you some tips.  I suggest to take a lot of pictures not only one.  I suggest to get a good setting.  If I could picture someone playing soccer that would be great.  If you want to see the rest of my pictures, click here.

Action Shots!

In this project we had to take pictures of people or things in action. Many things helped me create a great image. Such as, telling my friends to move or just seeing an item and thinking, this would look good in action. One things that helped me a ton was having my camera on burst so I could capture everything, that would be my one major tip. I would take a picture of a soccer match beacause there are many different action shots you could get and I understand the game very well so I would be easy for me. 7 Days Of Black & White

For one week ( seven days ) I took pictures of objects, and people that mean a lot to me.

The first picture I took is of my dogs. I’m thankful that even though they can’t do everything a normal person can, they still help me feel better whenever I’m down. They tend to always find a way to be around me which I always found funny, because they love attention just as much as me so  don’t mind one bit. My first dog, Lola ( a Boston Terrier ) is special to me because my mom and I have had her since I was in second grade, so whenever we had to move to a different state, she would always be there, and she’s been through a lot with our family. My second dog, Loki, ( a French Bulldog ) is also very special to me because even though he’s just recently joined our family and has probably the most problems any dog has probably ever had, he still makes me laugh anytime of dog.

The second picture I took is of my cheer shoes. I’m thankful for me being able to do cheer in general because before I even knew competitive cheer existed, I didn’t have a lot of things or hobbies that I was that into, I may have done soccer, gymnastics, and cross country, but I wasn’t really looking forward to those activity’s during the beginning of the week because it just wasn’t something I was passionate about. And even after I did a couple activity’s I would take a brake which ended up being longer then expected. I thought I would never find something I was happy and passionate about doing but when I was pushed to start doing competitive cheer, I don’t think I could ever stop doing it.

The third picture I took was of my mom. I’m definitely thankful for my mom because she helps me a lot in general. We may have had a few fights or “disagreements” as I like to call them, we always make up in the end because we can’t stand being mad at each other. She helps a lot with my homework and doesn’t just give me the answers, and even though I get mad about that, I know she’s just doing it for my own good. She’s even the one who pushed me to do cheer, which I could not be more happy and thankful for.

The fourth picture I took was of my friend Julia Willimann. I’m very thankful for her because she’s one of the few friends that understands me and me with her so I think that’s why we get along so well. We tell each other pretty much everything, and I like how we can joke about stuff that other people would find weird.

The fifth picture I took was of food. I’m thankful for food because first off you kind of have to eat to survive. My parents think I’m a picky eater which used to be true but now I love to try new foods everyday.

The sixth picture I took is of my house. I’m thankful for my house, even though it might seem weird I truly an thankful for it because my family tends to move a lot considering my parents are in the military, so this is the first house my parents have actually owned which I’m not used to so its a great change for all the houses and apartments we’ve lived in before.

The seventh picture I took is of hair ties. I may sound silly but being a girl with long hair you tend to put your hair up a lot. They make it easy to put your hair up and they’re easy to use which makes them good to use.

This is a picture of a fish tank. This picture symbolizes my loves for marine or aquatic creatures. In this example, it shows a clown fish which I meant to take the photo as soon as the fish looked towards the camera.
I am thankful for all of my birds. One of the many animals I enjoy keeping as pets are birds. The fact that birds can be small means that you can learn to be gentle.
This is a picture food. Although this is not just any food, this is my mom’s cooking. I took this photo because I thought this could show how much I love my parent(s) cooking. Although it is not everyday that I think this way. Sometimes I think the food is okay.
This is a picture of sticks shaping a heart. I am thankful for this because whenever I look at it, it always puts me in a better mood. It also motivates myself to always treat one another with respect and always be responsible.
This is a picture of a crystal kind of rock shaped like to hearts. This symbolizes the love my family have for each other. Whenever I look at this, it reminds me of how much we care for each other and how much we support one another.
This picture saying “I think you are MAGIC” is one of my many motivations to work hard everyday. This picture symbolizes my thinking of how much I can change in order to achieve certain goals.
I am thankful for all of the fun times my family and myself had during a trip to the beach. All of the wonderful trips stopped my sorrows and made everyone happy. There are some people who does not like to go outside, so they won’t know what it feels like to have fun in a nice outdoor weather.

7 Days

This is a picture of one of the many rivers in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park. This picture shows that I am thankful for water because many people in the world don’t have the surplus amount of water that we have in the U.S.
Though this picture may look confusing, it symbolizes the diversity in our country. The more diversity in our country, the more unique it is. I am thankful for that because everyone can express their personality however they want to.
This is a picture of the Statue of Liberty. This picture symbolizes my thankfulness for the liberty I get for being in this country. Liberty is not something to take for granted because much of the world doesn’t have it.
This is a picture of a heart (with candy inside of it). This symbolizes my thankfulness for love. Everyone needs to be appreciated and loved in a certain way. I am thankful that I am loved by my family.
This picture obviously symbolizes my thankfulness for my family. I am thankful that I have a mom and a dad to come home to everyday. Not everyone has a family to come home to, so I am thankful for my family.
This is a picture of a house. I am thankful for having a home that shelters me from the cold and gives me electricity. A house warms me in the winter and provides me a bed to sleep in at night.
This is a picture of food (specifically grapes). This symbolizes my thankfulness for food. Though food is a necessary component in everyone’s life, not everyone has it. I am thankful for food because everyday, I can come home and eat a piping hot meal for dinner.

7 Days

My cat is important to me, because he is my cat. His name is Bubba.

My Martial Arts are important to me. Specifically Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. They are important to me not because I like “hurting” people, but because I enjoy physical activities.

Traveling is important to me. I love going places. These are some of the things i’ve collected from places i’ve been.

My Friends are important to me. This is Shrila. She is my friend. Shrila is really weird but she’s still and always will be my friend.

This restaurant is important to me. This is my favorite restaurant. I like to eat the Mahi Mahi Tacos here. They are very delicious.

Food is important to me. I Enjoy eating. I need food to survive.

My Values

I value God, Jesus and the bible because  I am a proud Christian and it is part of my culture. I don’t mind what others think of me and I know that God is with me at all times.

I value my studies and education because I want to b successful and attend a great college. If I want to be successful in life I have to be successful in my education, it’s a really big part of success.

I value my family because they mean the world to me. Some people out there don’t have families or lose their families and I just love my family no matter how much they annoy me or what they do to me. Without my family I’d be nothing because they are my everything and I rather die if it means saving them.

I value my friends because they are a big part of my life and they help build my character. My friends are really important to me and I love all of them. Even when we have out ups and downs at the end of the dat we still love each other. Friendship is something beautiful and having someone you could smile with is really something amazing.

I value Myself because my life is based on what I want it to be. Without myself what would I be? I am the only one who should affect my life and my choices have consequences which is why I choose to do the right thing and follow the right path.

I value my parent’s wedding and their relationship because I would never abt them to divorce. They raised me with love and taught me all I know. If they give up on each other then what ways should I guide my life? They never had any big arguments or insulted each other and I hope it stays that way.

I value food because food is what I need to survive. Food helps me grow and gain weight which I should probably reconsider but some food are healthy! Food is a good source of every nutrients I need to survive so I need food!

This project truly showed all I have to be thankful for in my life. It made me take a moment and see I have.

In this picture my family and I are watching football and just enjoying each others company. I am very thankful for all the memories I have with my family. Although, we all may disagree about team (Go Browns!), we all enjoy commentating the game together.

This picture is my cousin, my brother and my uncle in a huddle, talking about their game plan. I am very thankful for the time we have playing outside for hours and just having the best time ever. Even though at the end someone isn’t happy because they lost, we are able to look back at those hilarious times later.

In this selfie, my family friends and my family are taking a road trip to out thanksgiving dinner. I am very thankful for the crazy road trips I have with family and friends because it really shows us how much we can handle each other.
This is a picture of someone of my teammates during one of our freezing practices. I am super thankful for my soccer teammates because they are some of my best friends and I can tell them anything. Also, we can be very competitive with each other on the field, but when we come off the filed with are back to being best friends.

This is a picture of my family, I am very thankful for my family because they are so supportive and fun to be around. I am especially thankful for my family because we also I have the best time together. Some of my amazing memories are with my family.
I am very thankful for soccer, because it has brought me so much joy in my life and taught me a lot of different valuable lessons. Soccer is one sport that a lot of my friends and family can enjoy together, which is probably one of the main reasons that I love it so much.

This is a picture one of many picture of my best friends. I am extremely thankful for my friends because most of the time they make life so much more crazy and enjoyable. Also, I have had so many more amazing experiences with friends and learned to enjoy so much more, with friends.

Then I Asked Them To Smile

This project was about taking pictures of people with them smiling and then not smiling. What was difficult about this project that I found out was that a good amount of people did not want to be photographed. I also noticed that when I told some people not to smile, they would just smile with no teeth so I had to tell them again, not to smile. Some changes I see were how different people looked when they smiled, because since I don’t know these people personally, I don’t usually see these people smiling. My bias could affect me being a photographer maybe because of how they look. When hired, I would ask the person I’m taking pictures of, what they like to do for fun Here is a link to my slide show.
