Up Close

For this project we had to get a close up picture with it in focus. It worked well when I used the vsco app and used the focus feature. This was the first time I tried this. It was challenging to keep the objects still and in focus while taking the picture. If I had the time and photography equipment I would like to take a macro image of an eye.

Up Close

This was a fun post but it was kind of difficult project. It was hard to come up with good ideas for pictures. Something that worked well was taking pictures in the grass because there is usually interesting things there. I would like to get an up close picture of a animal if I could.

Getting Close

During this project, we took pictures of objects up close. We held our camera close to the object instead of zooming in. Something that worked well for this project was using the app VSCO to take the pictures. VSCO has a setting that changes the focus of the camera, and that helped my focus on the subject. A challenge that I had was finding things to photograph. It was also hard to make the camera focus on the subject. I think that it would be cool to photograph a bee on a flower. Overall, I liked this project.

Up Close

For this project, we had to take pictures of things from very close. For this project, I used VSCO for the first time because a normal phone camera won’t be able to zoom into the object from very close. Something that worked well for this project was finding the objects around the school. Even though you could get closer to the subject with VSCO, there were still some issues with the camera and getting too close to the subject. If I could go anywhere to take a photograph of a close-up, I would probably go to a rainforest and take close-ups of animals and plants that can be found there. Click here to see more close-ups.

Up Close

For the project, “Up Close,” we had to find small objects or a close up of a large object and we needed to take very close photos so that the object itself would take up the whole shot. We went outside to take photos because there was good lighting which makes the photo look much better. I also tried to take multiple pictures of the same object with different angles to see which one looked the best. It was difficult to make the photo look clear but sometimes the camera would become blurry. It was also challenging to find different unique objects around the school. If I ever had the equipment, time, and ability to get really good photos, I would like to photograph the petals of a flower.

Up Close

In this project, we had to take pictures of objects from a very close angle. It was challenging to get objects to focus, especially on my phone. Because my phone had no manual focus, you had to stay a certain distance away from the object for it to focus. It was easy to position our objects in a rule of thirds style. If I had more professional photography equipment I would take close up photos of tiny rain drops on objects Here is all of my photos.

Getting Close

In this project you were supposed to take a picture of an object up close but you weren’t able to zoom in. You were trying to be it look like something you can see the whole object, it was supposed to be part of an object. For this project big objects worked well, what I did was put the camera really close. Sometimes the camera was blurry, but some objects you could tell what it is right away. I would do this sometimes if i did have the equipment but it seems really hard to find the right object.

Getting Close

In this task we had to take close up pictures of objects, trying to see the little details inside. What worked well was taking close up pictures of flowers and plants, because you could see all the little details. Challenges were finding other things that weren’t flowers. If I had the equipment I would like to photograph an orchid because it has the most detail. Here is the link to my 10 close up photos. Finally, down below is my favorite picture.

Macro Pictures

For this task, we were asked to take very close up pictures of objects, as close as possible without the object or image becoming blurry. For this project I found it very helpful to use the VSCO Camera app on my phone to focus my photos. I hadn’t ever used this app before, so I was surprised at how helpful it was to take better quality photos. I found it kind of challenging to find some interesting and different objects to take photos of, instead of just basic things like flowers. Although it was slightly challenging to take creative photos, I did not have trouble using my phone to take photos. If I had the right equipment and ability, I would like to take close up pictures of flowers, because I find them very interesting to look at and fun to take pictures of.

Getting Close

During this project, I had to “Get Close” to my objects. This means we had to be about 1-3 inches away from our objects. We had to find different angles to find the exact spot we wanted our photo to look like. Some things that worked well for this project were that I had the perfect length between my camera and the object so it focused and I could see the textures of the object which was new for me and my photos. One challenge I had was that sometimes the subject was moving and I couldn’t get close enough to take an actual good photo. On the other hand, finding subjects was easy and I didn’t have any issues with my camera. If I could, I would want to photograph a jelly fish close up because their tentacles are so interesting. Overall, I really liked this project and it made me realize how many things I look at are so interesting when looking close.
