Up Close

For the “Up Close” project, we were asked to take pictures of five living and nonliving things. The thing that worked for this project was me using my personal device. I say that because with my phone I could tap whatever I wanted to focus on and it would blur everything else out. I did try something new, because I usually take pictures from a distance. My challenge was finding living things to actually take a picture of without it moving away. It wasn’t difficult to find nonliving objects because they are everywhere. But it was way more difficult to find living things. If I had the equipment and time, i’m sure I would take photos in macro. You can find the rest of my photos here.

Wonder what happened… Poor Branch

Set In The Street

This is a project where we had to take four pictures at a kitchen table, all with a different story, and all with the same scene. The photographer I used in this photo is Alexis. If I could take one picture with my family it would be on Christmas because everybody is together and we are all happy. You can find all of my photos here.

I should study more….

Action!

In this project we were asked to take pictures of things in action. The images had to look like they were in action meaning they cant looked staged. For example if you rolled a marble on the ground it can be in action but it would not count because you could have just put it there and took a picture. In this project i just took a picture of people doing something in action while it was in action. I held the burst button on my phone and picked the best photo. A tip for somebody doing this project is to hold the burst button on your phone it works to take all the photos so you can find the perfect one. If i could photograph any sport it would be soccer, because if you can catch the moment right when the foot and the ball make contact you would be able to see a lot of details. 7 days

This is Joann, she is probably one of my best, best friends. I took this photo when we were both walking home. But i’s very thankful for Joann shes there for me and i’m there for her. And if shes having a problem, you can guarantee i’m right there beside her. I’m very happy shes in my life.
This is Tien, another one of my friends. I h.ave to say me and Tien were good friends in 6th grade but then we faded. In 7th grade i don’t think me and Tien talked at all. But now in 8th grade me and her are getting closer everyday. I’m thankful for Tien.
This Ryan, he is my sisters god-son. Ryan just turned one. I’m thankful for Ryan because i’m pretty sure he makes my sister happy. And this might actually be cheesy but, if my sister is happy then i’m happy. Also i’m pretty sure Ryan love me too.
Alexis is my like best friend, because she has been there since 7th grade. At first Alexis was very quiet and I think that i helped her become more social. I’m thankful for Alexis because she kind of taught me what a real friend was
This swing means a lot to me because whenever i go to my grandad’s house i swing on this swing and i kind of reflect on myself because i’m  just outside swinging and just looking into the distance. I swing on the swing for a good five minutes everyday that i’m with my grandad.
I’m not sure why this tree means a lot to me, but it does. I always see it and it’s always there. Kind of like a friend,so when im away i like to sit by this tree and focus on whats around me. And that works for me because this tree is in the middle of a neighborhood away from all the city noises.
This is Litcy one of my friends she is like so enthusiastic. She can literally make your whole mood change from sad to happy really quick. So im thankful for her because she
is kind of like my end of the day smile.

Smile!

I think it was most difficult to find people who you don’t know and having to have them agree with you. The changes I see are, the person in the image may look so “straight faced” and then they smile and it like amazes you. Your bias as a photographer will possibly make you pass up the greatest photo opportunities. You should  ask the client, what they like and what would they say to describe them self. Rule Of Thirds

What worked for me was having the grid on my phone. My thoughts did change from the beginning of the project because at first i thought it was pointless to have somebody stand on the third line. The Rule Of thirds is is having somebody stand on the third line of a photo. When the person stands there you are basically telling the viewer to look at this then to look at that. Light Graffiti

My group took out pictures by going in to the gym (completely dark) and drawing with out phone flashlights. In order for us to make color we had to put a sticky note in front of the camera. I think the most frustrating thing was  getting the picture all the way done and not halfway done. One thing that could take this picture to the next level is if we did a whole class “portrait”. You can find the rest of my photos here.

Dark Portraits

In this project I had to take a photo using the lowest ISO to make an infinite Black background behind and person. The thing that worked the most for me was the pose of the person and having the light be in the perfect spot. The thing that didn’t work was having the light be to bright or to close or to far, etc… You can find the rest of my photos here.

Portraits

In this project I had to take a photo using ISO to make an infinite white background behind and person. The thing that worked the most for me was the pose of the person and the color of there shirt. The thing that didn’t work was having the light be to bright or to close or to far, etc… You can find the rest of my photos here.

5 Shots

In this project I had to find an object and take 5 pictures from different angles. A challenge during this project was finding an object that actually has 5 different angles, and not having your arms or legs in the photo. The hardest object to photograph was the “vine” because for one of the photos I  needed to move the “vine” so that it would look like the raindrops were just sitting there. This project helped me realize that one object can be seen from so many perspectives. You can find the rest of my photos here.
