Action

In this project, we took photos of moving objects or things to capture photos of them in motion. To capture a good quality photo, we used a burst mode to take a bunch of photos at the same time. I would love to take action shots of people playing soccer in the future. This project was difficult but very fun! When you take action photos use burst mode so its easier.

Framing

In this project, we had to find objects that could make a natural frame of something. This assignment was similar to the rule of thirds, because when you look at a photo that uses the framing technique, your eye goes straight to whats inside the frame. This photo was my favorite because it makes the person stand out. It was a challenge to find natural frames but overall it was fun.

Rule of Thirds

For this assignment, we had to take photos inside and outside using the rule of thirds technique. To take a successful photo using this technique, you have to align an object or a person using an imaginary grid. The grid is split into thirds, and you place objects you want to stand out on the intersections. At first I thought this photo project would be super easy, but it was a little more challenging then I thought.

Portraits (white background)

To take photos for this assignment, it was very similar to the process of taking the black background photos. We had to change the IOS, so a shadow wouldn’t show up on the white background. In photoshop, we also changed the brightness to help erase shadows. The white background was easier with natural lighting to erase shadows. Overall, this project was one of my favorites so far!

5 Shots

In class, my peers and I were asked to find 3 objects and take 5 photos of each object. The twist on this project was we had to take the 5 photos all from different angles. It was a challenge to find different angles for each object. The most difficult object to photograph was a person, It was hard to create different angles. This helped me realize that you can think outside the box and not take every photo at one angle.

Crayons

For this assignment, my classmates and I had to take 24 pictures of crayons blended in with objects of the same color. This project was very difficult to find colors exactly like the crayons. Especially in our school, a very non colorful place, we had to be very observant of our surroundings. It was easy to take the photos of the crayons because they are so small.

My Logo

For my classes, I use photos from google image search. I do not contact the owner for consent to use their photo, and only give credit when required. If someone was using my photos, I would want them to give me credit. My logo is a picture of a black Polaroid with my logo name on the camera. It was easy to create using the photo editing app, fireworks. The only challenge was remembering how to use the apps.
