The process for taking photos in front of a black background was just standing in front of the background and taking the picture. For editing I use photo shop to edit the photo and adobe fireworks to add my logo to the photo. Using the light worked well but it was hard because you had to find the correct angle to point the light at so it wouldn’t create shadows. What did not work was standing too close to the background because that also created unwanted shadows. To see more photos click here.
For the photos we all used the plain white background and took photos of everybody, then for editing I used photo shop to crop it,change the colors,etc. and to add my logo I used Fireworks. Taking photos in front of the other side of the white background worked because you didn’t have shadows but it was clear,from the natural lighting of outside. For this assignment I had to choose one person and two objects to take photos of. I took 5 pictures with different angles for each. A challenge for this project was getting all the different angles,and making the object look good. For example, I had to stand in a bush for the photo below. Definitely, the flowers because it is hard to get all the angles and find the correct place to stand. This project helped me to realize there are more than just one camera angle to take pictures with. To see the rest of my photos click here.
I get the photos I need for class from the internet. No I don’t contact the owner of the photo. Yes I give credit to the owner of the photo because it is their photo. Well, since I will have my logo in the corner of my photo they do not need to contact me because the picture they are using will show my logo so everyone who sees my photo that they used, will know it’s mine. My logo is supposed to represent a Polaroid camera, similar to the Instagram logo. The inside part of the logo is a light blue, because blue is my favorite color.The outside and the ring part of my logo will either be black or white depending if it is the dark logo or the light logo. It also says “Lauren’s Photos” in white print with a shadow. The easy part of making a logo is that I could use Adobe Fireworks to make it.It was helpful because I could use the shapes that they had provided. It was hard coming up with an idea for my logo.
