Throughout the whole semester I grew as a photographer learning new techniques and ways to take different kinds of pictures. In the beginning I likes photography and thought it was easy and I still like it but its kind of annoying because my pictures suck. I have changed the way I take photos like I make sure I take some pictures with the rule of thirds. My favorite project was the action photos because it was funny to take. No i will not continue learning photography because my pictures suck.

7 days

I am thankful for swim team because its fun when you win, fun to annoy my coaches and I like making fun of Rachel’s cap. It also gives me something to do after school so im not bored.

I am thankful for my cousin THE Matt Zlot because he always can put a smile on my face no matter what. He is also a freaking legend and we go on pretty neat adventures. Hes also my best friend!!!

Im thankful for all my friends because they are all suppa cool and they make me laugh. Jake, Ryan, and Tyler come over and play pool all the time and they suck but thats ok because its fun. I love all my friends because they always are happy and fun to be around.

I am thankful for bracelet making because it gives me something to do in math so I dont have to pay attention. Im also thankful for it because it makes my wrist colorful and reminds me of summer.

I am thankful for water because without it I would not be alive. It taste really good and keeps me from getting major migraines.

I am thankful for Mr.G because he makes school fun and its really funny when he gets mad and yells at people. Im also thankful for him because he lets me walk around with him instead of going to class sometimes. and hes lookin like a shnack!!!!

I am thankful for sammi because i can trust her always and its always a blast hanging out with her. She is funny and very hyper always. This is also a very nice selfie so enjoy!!

Action

What we had to do for this project was take pictures of people moving and make it show the motion. I mainly went around the school and took pictures of people that I saw in the hallway. I looked for whatever angle looked good and tried to set up the shot so I could get the best picture. For someone taking action photos, I would tell them to make sure they have a main focus and the whole picture isn’t blurry. If I was going to photograph any specific activity it would be water polo. It would be interesting to see them moving and seeing the water moving in the photo.

UP CLOSE

In the up close project we had to take super macro pictures or many different objects.  Everything in this project worked and I learned how to take really close up pictures with good quality.  There was no problem with the cameras but I did have a little trouble finding objects to take pictures of. If I had the time and equipment I would like to take really good up close pictures because the finished project is really cool.

Smile!

I walked around the school and asked people to smile and not smile. The only difficulty I had was finding unique or different people to take pictures of.  The changes I saw in the person was they looked more happy and less tight when they smile. Bias could affect someones job as a photographer because if someone looks mean or unhappy you would probably not want to take a picture of them. The questions I would ask are what they like to do or if they have any siblings.

App Reveiw

The name of my apps are Snapchat and Vsco.  Both apps are used for taking pictures. Snapchat is used for silly pictures with filters and Vsco is used for more serious photos. They are my favorite because I can make any of my pictures look neater and better.

Light Graffiti

The first thing we did was change the shutter speed. We made it 8 -15 seconds.  We then got our flashlights and made sure to keep the light facing the camera. For our group everything worked but the thing the was the most frustrating was not painting the picture big enough so we had to redo the same picture like 20 times. I think to step this project  you could add more lights and all kinds of color lights.

Newseum

My first photo was Babe Ruth’s Final Farewell in the year 1948. 50,000 people came to the Yankee stadium to watch and say their final goodbyes to Babe Ruth. I think I could take this picture because I would just have to get a picture of him from the back about to hit. This picture makes me have mixed emotions because it is sad that hes leaving but happy he played out his days.

My second picture was the Kenya Mall Massacre in the year 2014. The photographer Tyler Hicks got a tip of a shooting and rushed to the mall. He saw crowds fleeing and ran in to take pictures. I dont think I would be able to take this picture because I would not have the guts to run in the mall while a shooting is taking place. This picture makes me upset because many good people lost their lives.

The 2nd Exhibit I went to was the FBI. I thought it was really cool to see the things the cops do and the secret places they put bombs like in their shoes. I would definitely go there again and would love to see even more.

Rule of 3rds

Everything worked for me but the easiest thing to do was getting the photos exactly on the third line.  From the beginning till now my thoughts changed because in the beginning I thought it would be hard but now I think its really easy and fun. In the picture with the light the light is on the third line on the left. In the picture with Avi he is on the third line to the left once again.

White Background

For my group to take the photos we had to stand in font of a white background,  use manual mode, and turn the ISO up. The pictures came out great and everything worked! For the black background we used the ISO and shutter speed. For the white we used the same thing except  the shutter speed had to be longer and ISO higher.  I think the white background was easier because there was less editing to do.
