LAST POST!

Photography has always been my favorite class. I learned a lot of things while taking photography. Whenever I take a picture, I actually care about the background and the features. Before, I thought that photos were just a way to save a memory by clicking a button. After taking photography, I take my time now. My favorite project was the 5 angle project because I learned that you can make the most bring stand out by just using a different angle. I used to think photographers as just normal people who have easy jobs but now, I actually see the real job that they have. Photography would definitely be considered as a career for me. I really wish that I can take this class again in high school! I also would like to thank Mr. Fitz because a reason for me liking photography is having a really fun teacher. So… THANK YOU MR.FITZ!!!!!

Up Close

This project was based on taking pictures up close without using the zoom button. We had to take pictures of living and non living things. It was easy to find pictures to take. But when I was taking the actual picture, it was challenging to make it not blurry. The issues with the camera was that it took time to focus on the object. It doesn’t seem like a bad thing but since I am inpatient, it was very annoying! If I had the time and equipment to take a picture of something up close, it would be a drop of water on a pretty flower because I think that it would look really cool. You can see the rest of my pictures here.

Set in the Street

The set in the street is a project that took place at a kitchen table. This project was inspired but Justin Bettman and Carrie Mae Weems. Justin Bettman took his pictures in cities. He built built sets of rooms. Carrie Mae Weems took pictures of her and her daughter in black and white to tell a story. In Photoshop, I used the black and white filter. Then, I used an elliptical marquee to make the top more darker. I also used the feather tool. After that, I used to curve to make it darker. If I had to take these pictures with my family, I would take it in the living room because that’s where we spend most of our time watching movies.

Catch the Action

In this project we had to take pictures of action. It was all about timing because we had to take the picture at the perfect second. For this to happen, we had to make the shutter speed faster.  If I could take a picture of a sport, it would be boxing because the  punching and facial expression would be perfect for an action shot. You can see the rest of my pictures here.

7 Days

I am thankful for my family. Even though they sometimes get on my nerves, they are still my family!
I am thankful for my friends because they always know how to make me laugh. I consider they like my family.
I am thankful for California Pizza Kitchen. It is my favorite restaurant at Tysons Corner Mall.  Without this restaurant, I don’t know what I would do! The food tastes amazing here. I always get the spicy chipotle pizza and the pesto pasta.
I am thankful for the outlet malls because that is where I get my clothes. I love to go shopping but only if it is for me.
I am thankful for my TV because I spend most of my free time watching TV. Without TV, I would be losing my mind.
I am thankful for food because it keeps me alive. This is a picture at my favorite Indian restaurant, Diya. I love the food here. It is so authentic.

I am thankful for shoes because I really like having different varieties of shoes in my closet.  This is a picture of a shoe store.

Smile!!

In this project, I had to take pictures of 15 different people, I had to take 30 pictures in total. One picture with them smiling and one without smiling. The challenge was finding people to take pictures of because no one wanted a picture of themselves. Some people’s face changed a lot but others, you could barely tell the difference. Some people look very happy but others look not enthusiastic. You can see my pictures here

Light Graffiti

In this project, we had to make the shutter speed bulb so we had time to draw with the torch. First, we painted the person with light. Then another person cam in and drew with the torch. The easy part was taking the picture because once you got the hang of it, it was easy. The hard part was drawing with the light because you can’t see what you are drawing. It was frustrating when you draw something and the final outcome was nowhere close to the idea. You can see the rest of my pictures here.

Rule of Thirds

In this project, we had to take pictures with a 3 by 3 grid. It will only show up when you are taking the photo. It won’t show up on the actual photo. The easy part was lining the picture up with the grid. The hard part was finding things to take pictures of. You can see the the rest of pictures here.

Portraits

In this project, we had to take pictures of people with a black background. The pictures should not have a shadow. To make this happen we had to make to shutter speed longer. The hart part was positioning the light so it would’t have a shadow. The easy part was posing for the camera.  You can see the rest of my photos here.

Portraits

In this project we had to take pictures of people with a white background. It should like it is a png. The picture shouldn’t have any dark edges. To make this happen we had to change the shutter speed and the iso settings. Overall, the pictures we took were good but there were some dark edges. To fix that, i just cropped the image.
