Smile Project

This project was about taking two drastically different pictures of people to be able to see how facial expressions change the way we perceive things. When I took pictures of people that I didn’t know, the changes were very different. The moment their smiles changed, it looked like they were an entirely different person. The challenges that came with this project were being able to go up to strangers and asking if I could take their picture. Bias can affect  me as a photographer by leading me to believe or judge someone or something a different way. This way may lead to wrong assumptions accused against someone or something that the I see.  As a photographer I would ask the people I’m taking a picture of if they can smile and not smile so that they would know exactly what to do when I take the pictures. The easy part about this project was taking good photos of each person smiling or not smiling.

Light Graffiti

This project was about taking pictures in the dark while using lights to make scenes and or regular pictures. The light made visible and glowing lines in mid air. We used our phone flashlights and light up finger rings to make our scenes. The challenges that came with this project were making sure the lights were in  the right place. We also had to make our scenes fast before the picture was taken. The easiest part of this project was coming up with our scenes.
