This project was about getting close to objects creating a new perspective. This project was easy but hard to get the right positioning. The challenges were the positions and making it have a different and interesting perspectives. If I had the equipment i would love to get closer to a fish eye to photograph it. you can view the rest here.

This project is called Set in the Street where you take 4 pictures that each have a different story. It is inspired by a New York artist named Justin Bettman and Carrie Mae Weems. In photoshop I used modify, feather, black and white filter, inverse, and a curve layer. I would choose Middletown to tell my family’s story because its my hometown and I love it there.

Motion Pictures

Motion Pictures

In this project, you had to take a picture of an object in motion and have the background be still. I made sure I had a still setting and took a burst of pictures of the object moving. To take pictures make sure it’s moving and the background is still. If I could photograph any sport it would be volleyball because I play volleyball. The rest of my photos are here

7 Days

I am thankful for volleyball because it is my favorite sport and I love playing with my team and going to tournaments. I am thankful for my brother because he is very supportive and caring. I am thankful for my friends because they are fun to be around. I am thankful for school because it makes me educated. I am thankful for Mr. Fitz because he is so cool and awesome and I wish I could have him for every class. I am thankful for trees because they provide oxygen. I am thankful for water because it keeps me alive and i am fortunate to have a lot of water.

Smile Project

Smile Project

It was difficult to find people who would let us take their picture. The changes I see are their expressions and a different point of view. Bias might effect your job as a photographer because you might take pictures a certain way based on their looks. You should ask a client how they want their picture taken and how they want to be viewed. My pictures are here.

Rule of Thirds

Rule of Thirds

For Rule of Thirds I had to take pictures using the grid setting on my phone to take pictures with a lot of space to make you look around and not just at one object. It was hard to find interesting backgrounds so there would be more than one thing to look at. It was easy to find a good subject for the picture. At the beginning I thought it would be harder than it looked but it became easier once I did it. The link for the rest of my pictures is here.

Light Graffiti

Light Graffiti

I took them by going into a large dark area. We used a flashlight to draw the light and then let the photo develop. It was hard to get the light drawing drawn correctly the way you want it. It was easy taking the picture and figuring out what you want to draw. The rest of my images are here

Black Portraits

Black Portraits

To take the pictures, the person stood in front of a black background and we shined a light towards the back of the person. It was hard to get the light in the right spot but at the end it worked good.

Portraits

Portraits

I took the pictures by using a white background and pointing a light at the person. I made sure there wasn’t a shadow outlining the person. Using the light worked but some of the pictures turned out too light. Over all this project was easy and fun. The rest of my pictures are here.
