Last Project

This class was super fun and I learned a lot of new things that I love to try at home with my actual camera. I showed my parents some tricks and they were also amazed at how I did it. Taking photos aren’t what I usually do so I’m not so good at it but this class taught me how to. I also learned how to edit photos in different shades of black and white which I thought was super cool. The rest of my 7 photos are here.

Getting Close

This project required us to take 10 photos total, 5 not alive, and 5 alive up close. The hard part was getting the camera to focus well on the item but the easy part was finding the right images for it. You can find the rest of the photos here.

Set in the Street

Set in the Street is a mini set where the camera only captures that set area and not anywhere else. You could be in the streets and make a set that looks like an ordinary home. Then we had to show something was happening in the photo like the tone or mood or situation. Then we edited the photos and made the scene black and white also editing the shadowing in the camera. Like above the light should be darker since the light is facing down. My 4 photos are below.

Motion Project

The objective of this project is to take a quality picture of something or someone in motion. You must be able to tell that it’s in motion though. The hardest part is finding a good picture that isn’t blurry while taking the photo. The easy part was finding things to throw, or to move. The first picture shows me flourishing cards simply. The second picture shows me kicking a soccer ball and I took the picture myself but using a timer.

7 Days

This project requires us to take 7 photos of 7 days of what we are thankful for. The hard part was figuring out what I was thankful for and the easy part was finding the right photos to take. I am first, thankful for friends who help me through everything no matter what. My friends come first and I tell them anything that annoys me, makes me sad, or happy. They’ve been with me all my life and I am thankful for them. I’m also thankful for my parents who’s actually been there for my whole life, supporting me, helping me, and providing shelter, food, and other needs for me. I’m thankful for my siblings, my two sisters who have helped me with numerous things such as homework, sports, and relating with me about our parents. Although they’re in college, they still visit and makes me happy to see them home. I’m thankful for soccer to exist in the world since soccer is my favorite sport and it’s the sport to keep me healthy by constantly running everyday and trying new tricks. I’m thankful for coffee which keeps me going and awake when I really need it. Coffee also tastes amazing and I just love the taste of it. I’m thankful for food which helps me literally survive. I’ve never been more satisfied in my life when I’m eating food since it helps me not starve. I’m thankful for music even though I really can’t sing, there’s so many types and genres of music I can relate to and helps me cope with feelings or stress. Music hypes me up and gets me in a good mood.

Smile Project

The objective of the smile project was to take photos of 15 people one smiling and one not smiling. The project shows how we judge people based on how they appear, their expressions, and their level of mood in the photo. The easy part was finding people to take pictures of because a lot of people were okay on having their photo taken. The hard part was to take the photos in different angles and moods since some people’s smiling and not smiling photos looked very similar. My photos are in google slides here

Rule of Thirds

The objective of this project was to take a picture and make the object in the center of attention by putting it on the intercept of the thirds grid. The difficult part was to align the picture so it looks centered at the same time putting the object on the intercept. The easy part was finding places since there’s a lot of places with open ends. The photos I took are below.

Light Graffiti

The objective of this project was to make words, pictures, or images in the dark using a special filter on the camera. The hard part was writing words since you had to know how to write them backwards. Editing the photo was pretty easy like changing the contrast and controlling how bright the light should be. My 6 images are taken below.

Dark Photos

The objective of the dark photos project was to make yourself seem photo shopped into a black backround. It was hard trying to make yourself stay the same color while changing the backround to make it pitch black. The easy part was taking the photo since you didn’t really need that much lighting. There are my photos below.

Light Photos

The objective of this project was to take a picture of a person with a white backround and then edit the photo to make it black and white. The hard part of the the project was to get the lighting just right without any shadows. The easy part was to edit the photos black and white since you just click a button and it will do it for you. The pictures I took and edited are below.
