Lego Shots

What I and Carmelo did was take macro pictures of Lego figures in various scenarios and made them look realistic. We used skills from the other macro project, making sure that the objects weren’t blurred. Thinking about places to do the project was difficult.

Macro Shots

This project was about taking pictures of little things up close. I had to get up close, make sure the camera was set to macro, and and then make sure it was clear. I would recommend using an actual camera, not a phone for this project. If I could, I would want to photograph an ant.

Action Shots

This project is about taking a lot of photos, and the edit the layers so that one person or object is moving on the screen.

I made it so that I made rule of thirds on, so it made the photo pop.

One tip for taking action shots is make sure that the person is going fast enough to not overlap.

+I would like to take action photos from Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Rule of Thirds

My favorite photo with a person.
My favorite photo of an inanimate object.
  • The angles that worked for me were the right line and the left line. I thought that this project was very interesting, and further along the line, i thought it was fun. I used the left line and the right line the most, these lines are imaginary lines that divide a picture into a tic-tac-toe board. If you line up what the focus is with those lines and points, the picture looks better.

Black and White Backgrounds

We were not give any post instructions. What I did with my photos is I didn’t actually make them ‘black and white’, I just messed with some curves.

What really worked was making sure that there was the right amount of light, and making sure it hits the person right. Not doing the light right really messed with the shot.

3 Objects, 5 photos each.

For this project I took 2 people and a bench and took 5 photos of each of them for different angels. The real challenge was finding different angels for the bench. The hardest thing to photograph was the bench. This project helped me realize that I need to expand the angels I take photos from.
